Transport & Travel
This year audiences don’t have to worry about the transport blues at night, as there will be a shuttle service from Stanley Square, Makokoba to 5 (five) different directions namely; Luveve Road, Khami Road, Plumtree Road, Old Matopos Road, and Queens Park Road. This has been done so as to cushion the artists and audiences and alley fears of security when coming from and going home. Our punters will have various options of travel to and from their various residential areas .Talks are in progress with metered Taxi operators to provide Taxis at the site of the festival for the whole period. leading Commuter omnibus operator SBV tours have been earmarked for the provision of transport to other punters; negotiations for the possibility of having a boarding place just outside the festival are in progress with the Bulawayo City Council. This process will make the festival safe for all revellers from all over Bulawayo and beyond.
Security
This year we look forward to beefing up security by incorporating the police and a professional security company, making sure everyone is safe. All the revellers will be searched for weapons and bottles. The car park will be guarded all day, so those with cars need not worry about parking and security. After successfully introducing and implementing the wrist band access system for Ibumba International Festival 2008 & 2009 the system has been carried over to this year.
